Have you ever watch football game in the stadium? I mean, not American football, British football. It is often called 'soccer' but I will call it 'Football' because it is originally from UK. But, except this name, football has another name; 'The small society'. It is sure that many sports are called as a small society because they have various factors that are needed in the society like people and rules. So, it is possible that sports give huge impacts to the real society positively. To give you one example, Federation Internationale de Football Association, so called FIFA, suggested some solutions about many problems in our society which are possible for advancement of our society. There suggested resolutions were related to racism and discrimination about the people, health, and so on. We can notice that the head institution related to football have tried hard to make our society better. If we take those resolutions and adapt them to our society, many advantages will occur.

   Even though it has became less, still some people think sports, especially football is dangerous for children, so it is bad for them. It is true that playing football can be dangerous as it is one of the wildest sports and some children get hurts while they are playing it. However, this is unnecessary worries because the rate of children who get hurts are not that much and we have many other positive things that we can achieve by football.



  Even in our daily life, we can find out that football is also giving positive effects to the society. When we see SNS like facebook of instagram, we can figure out that many sports stars are trying to advertise campaigns like charity match or events. These days, SNS is one of the best way to communicate with global people and we can know that when we see some famous companies' marketing methods. For example, when we see Arsenal's player Jack wilshere's instagram, we can see many good campaigns are held. If these famous players keep advertising various kinds of good events and campaigns, more people will attend to those.



  Also, this is general idea but we can have healthy body if we play football. It is undoubtedly sure that if we exercise regularly, our health problem would become less. Some people worry about the injury, but that is just the process of keeping good shape of body. If we do not exercise properly, health problem would become more severe and I think this result is not desired by everybody. Do you want to be unhealthy just because you worry that you or your children can have injury? I don't think it is wise selection.



  Moreover, football can be the factor that makes world peace by insisting no discrimination of any form. If football stars play football under the slogan of no discrimination and peaceful world, children would be educated peacefully with their role models. I think all people will know that education is the most important process of children. Then, this situation is not impossible. If this happen, world peace will be easy because children have been educated with these factors and become adults. We can achieve the humanity's dream.

  It is true that many entertainers have power to control the society. That's why they are blamed if they do some crazy things. Like this, sports stars, especially football stars have big power to control people and society. If we think about them, we can say that they are under the FIFA because they are all football players. Now, let's see what FIFA aim to do for society. According to Joseph S. Blatter who is the head of FIFA, said that "FIFA’s primary objective is to improve the game of football constantly and promote it globally in the light of its unifying, educational, cultural and humanitarian values, particularly through youth and development programmes." Also, he said that "Football is much more than just a game. Its universal appeal means it has a unique power and reach which must be managed carefully. We believe that we have a duty to society that goes beyond football: to improve the lives of young people and their surrounding communities, to reduce the negative impact of our activities and to make the most we can of the positives.

Football can inspire communities and break down barriers. Football is for all. FIFA believes that everybody has the right to play football free from discrimination or prejudice and we are striving to ensure that this is the case.

Through this speech, we can notice what football players think about the society. By these concepts, football players are giving good impacts to the society. For example, FIFA is now conducting a campaing named "Football for the planet"(http://www.fifa.com/aboutfifa/socialresponsibility/footballforplanet/index.html) and many players are encourage this campaign through their SNS account. This is undoubtedly desirable situation and impacts.

Also, we can think about health problem. In FIFA hompage, they said that "Health is key to development and growth. Developing countries have to fight poverty, hunger and infections, but also diseases that proliferate with increasing prosperity."(http://www.fifa.com/aboutfifa/footballdevelopment/medical/footballforhealth/) This means they are trying to make people in the whold world helthier. This can be also good impact.

Lastly, football can make peaceful world. See this article. I think racism can be the best example. To add recism part, Tyoko Sexwale who was the manager of 2010 South Africa world cup, said that “Racism-discrimination is a society problem, and it’s like a monster that is trying now to infiltrate sporting fields. If we don’t stand up, if we allow racism to overpower sport, we will be doomed to existence in a hostile world.” in the weekly FIFA.  Trough these things, it is sure that world can reach to the peace by football with FIFA.

  I think football can give positive impacts and make better society. However, some people said that there are more effective factors that can change society, not football. But  I don't mention about football is the best way to change society positively. However, if it has benefit, it is undoubtedly sure to do that. I think when these benefits become together, that's the proper period that society could be changed positively.

Also, some people said that it is not sure that football can give positive impacts. However, When you see examples of many football players and campaign related to them, you can notice that their power is not that small. They have enough power to change society positively. In fact, entertainers and football players are not that different if we see them as an aspect of influencing to people in the world. If we see famous entertainers, they change world with their beautiful voice or acting ability. So, it is sure that they will improve our society with football.

  As you see, football can give positive impacts to the society. It can be through football players SNS account and broadcasting system with advertising campaign, improving health problem of the people, and make the world peace by eliminate factors that can make some bad situations. Everyone in the FIFA acknowledge that they should make better world through football and they are now trying to make better world. Many people who are related to FIFA are paying attention to many social problems like racism, global warming and poor countries' famine problem. So, if we encourage football to people, it is sure that many social problems would be solved and the world becomes better place to live. So, let's make better world through football. Football should be encouraged to the world to make better world.
